As a Project manager for a confidential client, Garvey Resources assessed compliance with existing state and federal regulations for a biosolids land reclamation program. The scope of work was expanded and identification and cost estimates were developed for sampling, analysis, recordkeeping and reporting.
Performed Assessment of Biosolids compliance with 40 CFR Part 503 A, Standards for the Use and Disposal of Sewage Sludge (Biosolids) for numerous municipalities including Lansdale, Manheim, Sunbury, Upper Montgomery Joint Sewer Authority, West Hills, Norristown and Hagerstown. Types of processes include lime stabilization, composting, aerobic digestion, anaerobic digestion and heat drying.
Project Manager for several septage-processing facilities that wished to process and beneficially utilize an exceptional quality biosolids. Work included process development, advice in monitoring and sampling, preparation of permit applications, licensing as a fertilizer or liming agent, determining agronomic rates, assistance in permit compliance, nutrient management planning and annual report preparation.
Lead Engineer for the preparation of Municipal Industrial Pretreatment Program (MIPP) plans for wastewater treatment plants servicing several municipalities, including Pennridge Wastewater Treatment Authority (Sellersville, Pennsylvania), and Landis Sewer Authority (Vineland, New Jersey).
