With over 30 years of experience in the septage industry, Tom has held progressively responsible positions including Senior Vice President, Chief Operating Officer, and Chief Executive Officer. At Garvey Resources, Toms primary role is a consultant to wastewater treatment plants, with a secondary emphasis on project management.
During Toms previous employment as Corporate Vice President of Governmental Affairs, he was responsible for acquisition marketing and due diligence.
He managed operations of three septage-acceptance facilities located in Elkhart, Indiana; Orlando, Florida; and Victoria, British Columbia. He is also responsible for design, operations, regulatory compliance, marketing, customer relations, human resources, and information technologies.
Tom developed, implemented, and managed the first dedicated septage-treatment facility in Pennsylvania to discharge pretreated septage into municipal sewage-collection system under an Industrial User Discharge Permit. The treatment process included automatic screening and grit removal, septage conditioning and dewatering.
